Bar-Mitzvah Celebration in Gan Shmuel
"Bar Mitzvah" literally means "son of the commandment." "Bar" is "son" in Aramaic, which used to be the vernacular of the Jewish people, at the 2nd Tempel times. "Mitzvah" is "commandment" in both Hebrew and Aramaic. "Bat" is daughter in Hebrew and Aramaic. At the age of 13 (12 for girls), children become obligated to observe the commandments. The Bar Mitzvah ceremony formally marks the assumption of that obligation.

In Gan Shmuel we celebrate Bar-Mitzvah for all children that become 13 during the current year. At 2001 children of the class-group "TAPUZ" are the "heroes of the event".  During the school-year the children of TAPUZ obtained several social, as well as educational goals to be fulfilled and accomplished. The Bar Mitzvah party is the culminate event of the year.

We wish to all TAPUZim
A Happy Birthday and a Very Peaceful and a Successful Adulthood in the Future
Shall our country, Israel, be in Peace when they will become fully mature and self-responsible members of the community.
